Club Membership
- Q: Do I have to be a member to use the Club?
- A: The Sanctuary Spa and The Shop at Bay Club Marin are open to the public and are available seven days
a week. Some athletic, yoga and social programs are available as well. You must become a member to use all other
areas of the Club.
- Q: What is your guest policy?
- A: You may bring an unlimited number of guests to the Club by paying a guest fee, which is good for one day.
Each guest is limited to a maximum of two Club visits per month.
- Q: Does Bay Club Marin provide parking for members?
- A: Yes, the Club provides complimentary parking in the Corte Madera Town Center lot.
- Q: What discounts do members receive through the Club?
- A: Members receive special pricing on all Club services, from personal training sessions to Sanctuary Spa
treatments. See the Club's newsletter for current member specials.
- Q: How do I find out about upgrading my membership to other options?
- A: Simply contact a membership representative who can upgrade your membership to include the other Bay Area or west
coast clubs in the Western Athletic Clubs family.
- Q: Is my initiation fee refundable?
- A: New members have two weeks from their join date to receive a full refund on their initiation fee. After this
two-week period, initiation fees are not refundable.
- Q: Is my membership transferable?
- A: Club memberships, with the exception of corporate memberships, are not transferable to another individual. However,
you may transfer your Bay Club membership to another Western Athletic Clubs facility. If you are interested in transferring
your membership, please contact a membership representative at Bay Club Marin.
- Q: How do I cancel my membership?
- A: In order to cancel your membership, the Club requires a 30-day prior written notice. You must complete and sign a
Membership Resignation Form, surrender all membership cards and locker keys, and pay any outstanding account balance. Your
resignation will not be effective until
- the 30-day notice period expires and
- the Club receives the signed and completed Membership Resignation Form, all membership cards and required payments.
After the effective date of your resignation, you will not be subject to any further dues. You may pick up a Membership Resignation
Form from the Business Office. Once you've completed this form, please keep a copy for your records and bring the original to the
Business Office. You can also mail it to us at 220 Corte Madera Town Center, Corte Madera, CA 94925 or fax it to us at (415) 945-0722.
- Q: How do I temporarily suspend my membership?
- A: If you will be away from the Bay Area for three months or more, or are unable to use the Club because of prolonged
illness or injury, you may apply for a Leave of Absence. You must complete a Leave of Absence Request Form and accompany
your request with your full payment of your account balance. Dues for members on approved Leave of
Absence are reduced to one-third of the prevailing dues for the applicable membership classification.
You may pick up a Leave of Absence Request Form from the Business Office. Once you've completed this form, please keep a copy
for your records and bring the original to the Business Office. You can also mail it to us at 220 Corte Madera Town Center,
Corte Madera, CA 94925 or fax it us at (415) 945-0722.
Billing Questions
- Q: When is my payment due?
- A: Payment is due by the due dated noted on your monthly statement. Payments not received by that date will be subject
to a late payment charge. If you have questions about when your payment is due, please feel free to contact the Business
Office at (415) 945-3005.
- Q: Where can I send payments?
- A: You may drop off payments at the front desk or mail them directly to the Club at: 220 Corte Madera
Town Center, Corte Madera, CA 94925. We recommend that you use the envelope accompanying your statement and write
your membership number on your check.
- Q: Can I pay my bill automatically each month?
- A: Yes, The Bay Club offers the convenience of an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to automatically pay your
monthly bill. Just download our EFT form, print it out and complete it. Then simply return the signed EFT form along
with an original voided check to our business office. You can also mail it to 220 Corte Madera Town Center, Corte Madera,
CA 94925.
- Q: Can I pay my bill with a credit card?
- A: Yes, the Club does accept credit card payments. To process your payment, stop by or call the Business Office at
(415) 945-3005 or the Front Desk at (415) 945-3000.
- Q: What is the billing cycle for membership dues?
- A: Statements are sent to members on a monthly basis and will reflect next month's dues and payments and charges made
before the billing date. Payments received after the billing date will not be reflected in the current statement.
Policy Questions
- Q: Where can I use my cell phone at the Club?
- A: We welcome you to use your cell phone in the Club lobby and Member Lounge only. Cell phone use is not permitted anywhere else inside the Club.
Please turn your cell phone or sound off in the following "No Cell Phone" zones: the men's and women's locker rooms, the fitness floor, gymnasium,
Pilates and yoga studios, group exercise classes and The Sanctuary Spa.
- Q: What is your policy on children in the Club
- A: Ages 6 Weeks–13 Years:
All children under 14 must be supervised by a parent or guardian who must remain on Club property while his/her children
are here; policies may vary for special programs or camps. Children ages 7 and older can use the pool area. Children under
14 may not use the Fitness Center, attend group exercise classes, or enter the locker rooms. They should use the restrooms
and changing areas in the Play Club, KidSpace, or pool area. All children under 14 need to be supervised by an adult while
using the restrooms in the pool area.
Ages 14–15:
Children 14–15 may use the Fitness Center and attend group exercise classes if they are certified by a member of the Club's
Junior Training Program, which is offered free of charge. Children 14 and older may use the adult locker rooms, including
the sauna and steam room.
Ages 16 and Older:
Children 16 and older may use the Fitness Center and attend group exercise classes without certification or being accompanied by a parent.
