In addition to our one-on-one Personal Fitness Training program, the Club also offers semi-private Personal Fitness Training opportunities for those who prefer to work out with one or more other members.

Jason Anderson

Jason’s philosophy: “Change is good! Continually challenge your body and mind in various ways to reach new goals. Adjustments in your training routine will keep your body from reaching unwanted plateaus.” Jason holds the following credentials: Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Washington State University, ACSM HFI, NSCA CSCS, Fit fore Golf Physical Therapy Levels I, II, and III.


Patrick Caron

Patrick has worked as a personal fitness trainer since 1992. He earned his health/fitness instructor certification from the American College of Sports Medicine and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist. He is also a Level 3 ski instructor certified by PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America). Patrick holds a B.S. in physical activity sciences from University Laval, Quebec City, Canada.

Derek Colderbank

Derek’s philosophy: “Dedication is the foundation to any exercise program. As a practicioner of health, I believe in providing immediate and long-term benefits for my clients. The body is a kinetic chain that functions together to produce efficient movement. Therefore my training does not focus on individual parts, rather—I design programs based on how the parts function together as a whole. Derek holds the following credentials: ACSM Health Fitness Instructor; CIAR (Cooper Institute of Aerobics Research); Master Fitness Specialist and CIAR Biomechanics of Resistance Training.


Nancy DeMattei

Nancy DeMattei’s personal philosophy: “The best preventative medicine is obtaining a lifestyle of fitness. By choosing to make exercise a priority, you are choosing to incorporate the physical and emotional benefits you deem to be important. As a personal fitness trainer, my passion is designing fitness programs that are enticing and fun. Ultimately achieving higher performance, whether it is for a sport or simply to maximize your workout. Let’s focus on how fitness makes you feel!" Nancy is certified as a an ACSM Health Fitness Instructor.


Brian Edwards

Brian Edwards’s personal philosophy: “Deep down within each of us lies an athlete waiting to be discovered! Your personal dedication to commit to a healthy active lifestyle will determine your success. Your new mantra: I only have one body, so I take good care of it. I deserve to get fit and feel great because I’m worth it!" Brian has the following certifications: NASM Personal Trainer; ACSM Health Fitness Instructor and ACE Personal Trainer.


Carrie Edwards

Carrie’s philosophy: “Exercise should be FUN! I can be a teacher, coach, slave driver and nurturer. I understand that everyone comes with a different experience and different needs. I believe in listening to my clients to help meet their goals as well as show them diverse pathways that will take them there." Carrie holds the following certifications: ACSM Health Fitness Instructor and Keiser Cycling Instructor.


Megan Flatt

Megan’s philosophy: “A fortune cookie once said ‘to move a large mountain, you must start moving small stones.’ I believe this applies perfectly to fitness. I believe health and well-being come when fitness is reasonable, consistent and fun. I enjoy making a personal connection with my clients, helping them reach their goals from many angles. Let me help you move those small stones. “ Megan holds the following degrees and certifications: Bachelors of Science Nutrition and Exercise Science from the University of California at Davis, ACSM Health Fitness Instructor, SCW Mom’s in Motion, Certificate and National Presenter, AFAA Group Exercise Certified, AEA Water Fitness, Certified, SCW Yoga Certificate, NSCS Strength and Conditioning Coach, Jonny G Spinning Certified.


Gail Guevara

GAIL’S PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY. To listen and learn who my clients are and what they are seeking in terms of lifestyle and fitness goals. By taking a holistic approach, I integrate the physical, mental, and emotional aspects in designing a personal program for my clients. I am gifted to not only motivate my clients to improve their physical well-being, but also be their coach as their life journeys unfold.
Gail has the following certifications: ACSM Health Fitness Instructor; ACE Group Exercise Instructor; Certified Cycling Instructor; Stretch master Certification; Certified Hypnotherapist and Massage Therapist and currently enrolled as a Life Coach.


Jenny Johnson

Jenny’s personal philosophy: “The basis of my philosophy is a focus on you, the client—your goals, motivations, muscular and skeletal strengths and weaknesses. I’ll work with you to connect with your body and build a balanced physical foundation to allow you to move fluidly at work and play—in a way that has you feel the full potential of your personal strength and vitality. Jenny holds the following certifications: American Council on Exercise-CPB and Keiser Spinning Instructor.


Amy Landers

Amy’s personal philosophy: “All personal training clients want results. My integrated training approach inspires, educates, and leads clients to success. As an athlete and a mom, I relate to goals of improved performance, increased strength, and better energy for busy lifestyles. I may help you train for ultimate muscle definition or to correct the posture gained from a sit-down job, but the real reward is the high quality of life that comes with regular, well-designed exercise, sound nutrition, and reduced stress." Certifications: ACSM HFI, NASM, AFAA, ACE.


Jeff Marth

Jeff McMullen

Jeff’s personal philosophy: “Let fitness become a part of your life. Fitness encompasses so many different facets that anyone can find something of interest. Think of it as a universal language. Ultimately, it leads people to live more beneficial, healthier and happier lives. Certifications: ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM, American Academy of Health & Fitness Professions-Post Rehabilitation. Special Skills: Post rehabilitation Programming. Golf Conditioning Specialist. He has completed graduate course work in exercise physiology, continuing education in Physical Therapy at Stockton College, Pomona, New Jersey.


Garrett Mertle

Garrett’s philosophy “Abraham Lincoln said: always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other.” He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Sonoma State University, certifications in USA Weightlifting and ISSA. His special skills are: strength and power training Olympic style weightlifting, designing resistance training programs for athletes, program design for both muscle gain and fat loss and strength flexibility training.


Laura Miles

Laura’s personal philosophy: “A successful exercise program must be geared toward individual goals and it must be fun! Creating an effective individualized exercise prescription utilizes current research as well as a person’s specific needs. By maintaining a healthy, fit body you will achieve a greater quality of life. Laura’s certifications include: NCSF Personal Fitness Trainer; ACSM, ACE, NASM, Post Rehabilitation Specialist – M.E.S. Her special skills include strength training and core conditioning; integrated training-stability/strengh/power, fitball conditioning and weight management.


Mike Parra

Mike Parra has been a personal fitness trainer and group exercise instructor for twenty years. He has been certified by both the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Mike began his career as a professional ballet dancer after graduating from the Marin Ballet School, and later founded his own Company, the NOMAD Dance Company. He is now a candidate for Pilates instructor, completing his certification through Integrated Teacher Training. Mike's philosophy: ”Work with what you got. Just like my clients, I struggle with my commitment to my body, and that means we can both use all the help we can get, it's best to welcome the support that partnership provides! Frankly, it’s a choice of self-respect over self-indulgence. What we really do here is celebrate the body and the life that we have been given. Let us take neither for granted.”


Ryan Reyes

Ryan’s philosophy: “Every person is unique and exercise programming must be coordinated on the foundation of individual needs and goals. With this in mind, the most effective way to maximize the long-term benefits from an exercise program is to make it progressive, dynamic, and fun. I also believe it is crucial to emphasize functional movements because the body is one flowing mechanism rather than independently moving parts. Ryan’s education and Certifications include: University of California, Santa Barbara - BA Law and Society National Academy of Sports Medicine- Optimum Performance Training National Academy of Sports Medicine - Sports Fitness Specialist

Wendy Schuldt

Wendy’s philosophy: “My job as your trainer is to provide you with key ways to reach your own personal fitness goals. Positive thinking is the first step to reaching your goals for a healthy body. Together we will have fun creating the fitness program that is right for you. Be healthy, be happy, live life.” Certifications: NASM CPT,
NCSF, IFPA, USA Weight Lifting Strength & Conditioning Coach Level 1.


John Spongberg

John Spongberg’s Philosophy: I believe every person has the ability to achieve a healthy and progressive exercise habit. The longer I am involved in training, the more I can appreciate the vast array of effective movement. The process of enhanced function begins with proper assessment along with addressing each person’s individual needs. I train individuals based on assessment and observation. I know a higher level of fitness and function can be achieved if you improve upon the weak links; the key is effectively identifying the presence of movement patterns.

Certifications: ACSM Health Fitness Instructor, NSCA Certified Personal Trainer, Chek Institute Scientific Back Training, Scientific Core Conditioning, Swiss Ball Rehabilitation, Swiss Ball Certified.


James Tolbert

James’ philosophy: “To help incorporate the physical activities that you love into your weekly training, so that you can feed your passion and gain the benefits of training as well. I believe in whole life and whole body fitness through core strength, balance and flexibility, so you can experience the benefits of an ongoing training program throughout the course of the day, every day.” Certifications: ACE Personal Trainer


Pamela Whipp

“A ‘whole body’ approach drives my fitness program philosophy; one that develops both the visible physique and the underlying superstructure – each of which is instrumental to sustain long-term viability and vitality. Regardless of your fitness level, improvement is always attainable.
